Model of Wholistic Health and Wellbeing

Our care is guided by the Model of Wholistic Health and Wellbeing developed by the Indigenous Primary Health Care Council. This approach embraces physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness — with culture at the heart of healing. This model will shape every program and service we offer.

Rooted in Community, Culture, and Connection

Noongwa Wellness is more than a clinic — it is a space shaped by the land and our values, where health and belonging come together.

By joining our patient community now, you’ll:

  • Receive updates as we grow

  • Be among the first to access services when we open

Our Team

Our goal is to provide culturally safe, place-based primary care that grows with the needs of our clients.

Noongwa Wellness is rooted in the vision of building a strong, multidisciplinary team that brings together a team of health professionals. Learn about Ontario's Primary Care Action Plan here.

We are honoured to welcome Dr. Elisa Levi as our inaugural physician. Dr. Levi is proudly a member of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. With training in family medicine, public health, and dietetics, she is committed to advancing health and wellness through place-based, culturally safe care. Dr. Levi obtained her medical degree and rural family medicine residency from McMaster University, Master of Public Health from Lakehead University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nutrition from Toronto Metropolitan University. Dr. Levi marks the first step in growing a multidisciplinary team at Noongwa Wellness. In the coming years, our team will expand ensuring that care is accessible, comprehensive and collaborative.

Healthcare Resources

Through our partnership with the Grey-Bruce Ontario Health Team (GBOHT), you can access a wide range of local health and wellness supports. Explore resources, programs, and tools to help you and your family thrive.

Capital Campaign

Honouring culture, advancing health, shaping the future.

Our long-term vision reaches far beyond today. We are working toward the creation of an Indigenous-owned and operated Integrative Health Building and Learning Network, a place where culture, community, and care come together to serve generations to come.

Our Capital Campaign is the pathway to making this vision a reality. With your support, we will build a space that:

  • Honours and strengthens Indigenous culture and traditions

  • Advances health sovereignty and self-determination

  • Supports Mino Bimaadiziwin—the good life—for all who enter

This is more than a building; it is an investment in the health and well-being of future generations.

Support the Next Phase of Noongwa Wellness

Noongwa Wellness is an Indigenous-led, community-based initiative and is currently structured as a nonprofit organization. While we are not a registered charity and cannot issue tax receipts directly, there are still meaningful ways to support this work.

We are currently raising funds to build a permanent, purpose-built wellness space in Neyaashiinigmiing that will bring together primary care, traditional healing, and culturally grounded programming.

If you are interested in contributing:

  • We welcome direct contributions to support the capital build and program expansion

  • For donors seeking a tax receipt, we can work with a qualified donee partner to facilitate receipted giving

  • We also welcome conversations about partnerships, in-kind support, and introductions

Join us on this journey to create a place for health and connection. To explore how you can support this work, please contact us at: noongwawellness@gmail.com or click the link below.
